Internal Wall Insulation
The works will include the stripping back of the existing wall linings to expose the original walls (where possible). The installation of a 75mm x 50mm partition set against the original walls with 75mm Quinntherm (or equivalent) board insulation and sheeted with 12.5mm foil backed plasterboard. The new walls will be taped and filled and 2 coats of emulsion will be applied (white or magnolia).
Please note: It is likely that the room will be slightly smaller as a result of the works.
All window reveals and sills will be insulated where possible. Ingoes will be replaced with plasterboard and sills will be MDF with a white gloss finish. Where decorative timber linings or similar are present on walls to be insulated, these will not be reinstated. The contractor will reuse skirting and facings where possible. Where renewal of skirting, facings and coving is required the contractor will endeavour to match existing. No works will be undertaken to remaining walls that are not being insulated.
Timescale: Allow 2 weeks for install
